Florida State House candidate Ed Heeney, on lesbians, who he insists are "ruining" the game of billiards:

"They're not as sweet as everybody perceives."

The problem with too many Republicans, Alex Knapp points out, is that they fail to see (or at least admit) the inherent hotness of lesbians playing pool.

UPDATE: The story Alex found includes the classic line, "The lesbians were trying to get at me."

And Ed Heeney said it like it's a bad thing.

Comments
Anytime a post refers to "the inherent hotness of lesbians playing pool", it requires pictures (and preferably lots of them) to backup such an assertion.

Unless that would be getting too close to Wonkette territory.

Heck, even then [G].

It depends on the lesbians, man. It depends on the lesbians...

No doubt dude. I remember a clip in National Lampoon a few years back that had a picture of two babes touching each other with the caption "Every Man's Fantasy About Lesbians." Next to it was a pic of two, for want of a better comparison, Janet Reno's kissing in public with the caption "The Unfortunate Reality" or something like that. I mean, come on. If two hotties were teasing each other over a game of pool (you have to love the phalic symbolism and all ;^) who wouldn't love to watch. But if Janet Reno and her gay twin were bending over the pool table making suggestive comments and stroking the sticks at each other, I'm affraid even the most non-homophobic among us would be tankful for the whole Darwinian effect of homosexuality in general. Am I wrong?

My favorite line about lesbians is "We don't understand this depravity, but we know what we like."

This needs qualification: Bull dykes wit pool cues? Nope not hot.

I posted this elsewhere, but I feel I must also respond here;

Excuse me, but there are lesbians and then there are LESBIANS.

My husband and I split up in the foodstore once, and as he was waiting in the deli, there were a pair of lesbians kissing passionately right there in front of him. No, they were not the exciting Spice-channel variety of lesbian.

Bull-dyke lumberjack-looking, scary chin-hair bearing, wide-shouldered, chained-wallet carrying lesbians.
Apparently they were really going at it.

I swear when I saw him next, his hair had a white streak running through it.

"It depends on the lesbians, man. It depends on the lesbians..."

Very true--and it's a principle that can be demonstrated by turning the gender roles on their head. From my time in the "Buffy" and "Smallville" fandoms, I have been made aware of the fact that a substantial number of women like gay male porn. However, I have a feeling that if most of those women were exposed to gay porn which featured, say, Larry Flynt and Teddy Kennedy, the reaction would tend more to projectile vomiting than arousal.

Who cares about lesbians playing pool?

I want to see them naked on the POOL TABLE!

And using the pool sticks in new and inventive ways!
